I
laughed quite a bit with this installment of the Darwin’s Theory series. Darwin’s
happier here than with the previous two book. He is still in love with Peter to
the point that it is almost an obsession, but he’s happily in love. Peter is
happy too, though he is also scared of the changes that his body is about to
undergo with him Becoming Lesser-Bred. They are not taking the precautions they
should be taking in preparing for Peters Shift. This adds some exciting drama
to story. The readers find out what it was that Peter almost got involved in
with the secret metaphysical program. His brilliant knowledge of metaphysics
gets him in some trouble. Peter still keeping secrets puts him and Darwin in harm’s
way. Darwin has to break some promises to keep his love safe. This is
definitely the most suspenseful of the series thus far.
These
books need to be read in order and I highly recommend having them all on hand
and ready to start the next as soon as you finish one. They are very intense
and each book is better than the one before it. One of the things that Peter
has been hiding is going to keep haunting him for a long period of time. I am
eager to see where that is going to take the series. Peter holds knowledge over
something that can change so many things when it comes to metaphysics.
Be sure
to check out the author’s website. She is the cover artist for the book and she
has numerous character illustrations.
