I love a kick ass heroine who has lived rough, worked hard, and has truly earned all of her rights to own the title kick ass female. Lou has done exactly that. She has lived a not so glamorous life. She is a mercenary retrieval agent, basically a galactic bounty hunter. She is going into what she hopes to be her last assignment, earning her enough credits to return to Earth.

Sam Dawson is in for a huge surprise when the female he takes home from the bar wants to hand cuff him. Only Lou doesn’t have bed play on her mind, or does she. Sam knows he is not guilty of the crimes he has been accused of. He knows Lou does not believe him when he tells her as such. Poor luck makes too many questions arise when both Lou and Sam are attacked.
Lou knows that something is not right with this mission. Sam and Lou don’t believe in coincidences. Felling to Lou’s boss’ safe house seems the only logical choice. Credits and logic flee once Sam and Lou are alone. Sam and Lou are really heating things up when Lou’s boss Jared arrives at the safe house. Jared realizes that something is going on with the woman he wants and the man he lost.

Action packed, scorching hot erotic read! The characters are very interesting, they all three individually fleshed out very well. I would have loved to more on the character’s pasts. The occurrence’s from then has heavily influenced their now. The Last Detail is the only thing I have ever read of Schroeder’s and I can assure you it won’t be the last. She did an outstanding job of giving readers all the pertinent information in a short amount of pages. The romance while moving at a quick pace didn’t have a rushed or forced feel. Overall everything flowed well, moved at a great pace, and me wanting more Sam, Lou, and Jared.
