On Saturday April 16, 2011 I had the pleasure of going to another signing at the Barnes and Nobles in Brentwood, TN. This time it as for Kelley Armstrong. She was touring for the launch of her latest Darkest Powers book, The Gathering. I am not a YA fan, but I did get to listen to the author do a reading excerpt from this book. It sounded very intriguing. The captain of the swim team is killed off as a drowning victim in less than 10 pages. Sounds like there is a bit of the supernatural down at that lake! I LOVED listening to the author talk. She sounds just like my husband's family. I had to ask where she is from. All of my husband's family is from Northern Michigan and Canada. Turns out so is she. We caught her on the last stop for this leg of the tour.
Armstrong also writes an adult series known as Women of the Otherworld. This is why I went. I have read numerous reviews of this series. I have been wanting to read it for some time now. I brought home the motivation to start it. I picked up the first two books in the series.
On a side note... Photoshop class is going extremely well, please note this Nessa is not her usual overly greasy self. I have also helped myself and Kelley to a little age reduction and an overall softening in our appearence. Not that either of us needed it, we are FANTABULOUS DIVAS!
