AUTHOR: I must describe
author Feather Stone with a quote at the end of her book, “Change your
thinking, change your life”. She writes
with great balance of dialogue and action and adventure.
GENRE: Paranormal, Fiction, Romance, Inspirational
SETTING: Year 2020- Planet Earth experiences multiple natural
disasters resulting in U.S. martial law and Underground rebellion movement.
Year 2028 –Guardian clans with paranormal powers have fled to
concealed locations across the planet.
Year 2039 – A powerful woman living in the darkness seeks
the power of the secret of the crystals for personal gain.
CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: She was raised to unconditionally love all human
beings. Although her ways are wild and
unconventional, she is lead by her spirit guide and utilizes the power of the
crystals to bring light into the world. She
follows the path of her people, the Guardians.
CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: He is a Naval officer who goes strictly by the
rules. He has forgotten how to see the
man outside of the uniform. The true
love in his life is his two sons and his mission is to get them back and once
again be a family.
SYNOPSIS
Majority of events take place aboard the USS Nonnah. Her two missions are to execute people
accused of terrorism and to transport unknown top secret cargo. For the first time, the Captain comes to terms
with the fact that he is unable to execute a young woman taken aboard his ship.
INSPIRATION: Power
behind “Reiki”, a transfer of energy.
PARANORMAL: The power
of thought produces supernatural abilities once fear is quelled.
ROMANCE: No explicit
sexual references. “Wrapping his arms around her shoulders, he pulled her
close. No words were spoken……. He kissed
her lips.” Penetration however, use your
imagination.
WHAT I LIKED: The
mystery behind the appearances of “Savy”.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: The
concept of Guardians, Spirit Guides and meditation was difficult to grasp. Also, in the book confidentiality went out
the window. I tell you something but you
feel it is necessary to tell everyone else.
MOST OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE
Colorful language i.e., cursing but nothing sexually
explicit
