While I have no idea what the title has to do with this book, I will say that it was a very pleasant read.  The main characters, Dale and Elizabeth, have been best friends for eight years and have been living together for most of that time.  Dale is a charming, attractive, rich and happy go lucky character. Elizabeth was hurt deeply in a previous relationship so she is afraid to trust her heart to any man so she is purposely steering clear of an romantic entanglements with her best bud.

Sparks fly as Dale decides he has waited long enough on Liz to realize what a great guy he is so he starts to make things happen. Unfortunately Liz has been secretly been having an affair with her boss so when Dale finds out he makes all kinds of missteps where their relationship is concerned.

This book had many interesting secondary characters. Dale’s sister is one of Liz’s best friends as well as two other women that are part of her ‘group’.  The story begins and ends in New York but we also make a brief trip to Ohio (where Liz is originally from.) There we meet yet more interesting people; Liz’s 2 brothers, her BFF from high school and an old fiancĂ©.

I felt like the end was rushed and some of the scenes could have used some more detail or information so the reader isn’t left wanting.  The whole book is written in first person so you only ever get Liz’s perspective. There were many times when I felt like if would be nice to know what Dale was thinking because he did some really dumb things.  Overall I did enjoy this book and would be interested in reading more by her. If she writes more in this series I will definitely read them. Roth has created a group of people that are very interesting and I want to know what happens next.
