This was a good series to get into. This book has a little bit of everything supernatural in it from witches to vampires, trolls to faeries. It covers all bases and gives them all personalities that are believable and endearing. I have not read any books by this author before but I have really enjoyed this series so far. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes me. I give it four stars.
The many characters in this story were varied and well
developed. I enjoyed meeting and getting to know all of them. We are introduced
to Ken, Gwen’s boss and ex-fiancée, Pallo a master vampire who owns a
supernatural theme park, Caleb who is a faerie and a supernatural bounty hunter
and Giovanni who is also a master vampire and who sired Pallo. I felt that we
got to know each of them as the story went along with Gwen. I also enjoyed the secondary characters in
this book as well. The only complaint is I really wish I got to know more about
James, another vampire. Maybe he will be in the next books!!
The love triangles are well written as well as the more
steamy scenes. Gwen finds herself torn between several different men and is
unable to commit to just one or let any of them go. Every time she thinks she
is certain she has chosen something else comes up or she finds herself drawn to
another. There is one threesome in this book. It is an M/F/M no male on male
scenes. There seems to be someone trying to force Caleb and Gwen together but who
knows who she will pick or if she will pick just one. There is also still a lot
of tension between Ken and Gwen.
The interactions and overall plot of this book was very well
written. I found a couple typos but not many and it was not something that took
away from the book. The villain was a surprise for me as well as several other
things along the way. All in all this was a very good book.

Alright I still liked this book but not as much as the first book. It still has a lot of conflict between Caleb and Pallo and honestly it got a little annoying. The plot keeps you interested with everything that is happening with the Enchantress. Gwen can never make up her mind and it is like she can’t help herself when she is near Caleb or Pallo. She loves them both but it seems she is destined to hurt them both no matter what.
At the beginning of the book she has decided to be with
Caleb and get married but when he takes off to go to work then it starts going
downhill from there. While Caleb is gone Gwen becomes ill so James has to call
in Pallo to help and Caleb catches him at the farmhouse. We find out a little
more to Gwen’s past life and about Caleb and Pallo. Gwen discovers she is also
a shifter meaning she is able to change her appearance however she chooses.
James and Gwen become closer in this book just as friends. Yay more James!!
Sometimes Gwen is a little irritating since she is unable to make up her mind
about which man she wants.
When Caleb is caught out with other women it seems that it
is kind of ridiculous that it is okay for him because he is just pretending but
when Gwen is with Pallo it is not okay. Personally I am starting to think maybe
she should just leave both of them permanently and just start over. The bickering itself would be enough to make
me want to get away and that is exactly what Gwen does.At the end of the book she runs off with the one man everyone says she should stay away from Giovanni. He was the one who was responsible for her death the first time around. I am not sure if I like him or not but he will apparently be in the third book so I am reserving judgment on Giovanni. All in all I am going to give this book 3 stars I liked it but not as much as the first book.

This was by far my favorite of the three books in the
series. It had less conflict and a little more action. We get to meet some new
characters and a new type of supernatural creatures. The plot was very
interesting although I was afraid I wouldn’t like it as much as the other books
because I just wasn’t sure how I felt about Giovanni. Let me just say that I do
like him although I think James is still my favorite character. The one thing I was disappointed in was that
in the second book we found out that Gwen is a shifter but it is never
mentioned in this book.
It is obvious that Giovanni really makes Gwen feel at ease
and relaxed around him and in his home. Gwen’s character I think was developed
a little more. She seemed to mature once she was away from all the bickering. He also gives Gwen her space when she needs it and respects
her wishes. She needed to get away from the fighting and constant drama. Once
she gets away from Caleb and Pallo she seems stronger and not so much of a
slave to her desires.
The plot is still interesting in this final book. It is
obvious that someone wants Gwen dead and they always seem to know where she is.
We are introduced to a new creature an omnimorpheleon. They are shifters that
are hybrids of different animals. Gwen is attacked several times by these
omnimorppheleons but not all of them are bad. I like the direction the story went in
this book again it kept me interested and reading.
The characters in this were a little different. Pallo is
still about the same as he has been sexy but angry. Giovanni is in this book a
lot more than the others and we learn that he is not evil like we had been lead
to believe. Gwen calls him the Italian Stallion!! He is over 500 years old and
really loves Gwen but allows her to breathe instead of constantly pulling her
in several different directions like Pallo and Caleb do. Caleb in this book has
changed. He is drunk and hateful for the first and middle part of the book.
Right at the end he finally shapes up but until then nobody wants to be around
him.
The ending was great. The author tied up all the loose ends
for the reader and gave it a happy ending without it being ridiculous. We find
out the reason that Gwen was torn between the different men. We learn quite a
bit about her past but it wasn’t overwhelming. She learns more about her parents
and their family. She meets her uncle who is the one who tells her most of this.
All in all this series was definitely worth reading. I
enjoyed the story as well as learning about the characters. I recommend this
series. I will read it again in the future sometime.
