I’m a little aggravated with this book. Deeper Than Midnight has three different parts, half is the prequel/build up for Chase’s book, a quarter is Breed life at the compound and revisiting past couples, the other quarter of the book is Hunter and Corinne’s very sweet love story. I wanted more of Hunter and Corinne plan and simple.

I loved reading Hunter. I knew from his past and how he was raised that letting someone into his life would be interesting. Corinne is perfectly matched for him. She has spent seventy-five years as a prisoner, victim to the evil that is Dragos. He has done his best to break her. Like Hunter, she has taken the hard life that was forced upon her and is now trying to have something similar to normal.

To say that Chase is on a downward spiral would be a huge understatement. That male is on a razor’s edge that is about to devour him. I am definitely looking forward to his book.

I love this series. It is my favorite vampire series. I am a little disappointed in this specific book, but not enough that I dislike it. The storyline that has carried throughout the series is there. It is still as strong as ever. I highly recommend this series to any paranormal romance fan.

  1. I was disappointed that there was not more of the love story for Hunter. He is one of my favorite of the Breed!
