The Diva’s Authors After Dark Experience

Authors After Dark Philly turned into an enormous meet and greet for me. There were so many bloggers that I follow online there. It was nice to put some faces to those online personas. I missed some of the blogger events that the convention had, I either did not register as a blogger or my boonie net did not upload all of my registration information. Either is highly possible. Here’s a list & I am sure I am missing someone (so sorry.)
  • Bells of Hanging With Bells
  • Felicia of Geeky Bloggers Book Blog
  • JoJo & Momma Sallie of JoJo’s Book Corner
  • Robin of Intense Whisper
  • Larissa of Larissa’s Bookish Life
  • Marq of Love to Read for Fun
  • Mandi of Smexy Books
  • Jen/Twimom (Twi, not Twin) of That’s What I’m Talking About
  • Ronda of Queen Tutt’s World of Escapism
  • Ms. Hussein of Insane Hussein
  • Joy of Joyfully Reviewed (her iPhone has bunny ears too!)
  • Tigris of Tigris Eden
  • Spaz of Wicked Lil Pixie
  • Danielle of Lush 26
All these bloggers were extremely friendly ladies & I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet them. Also if you ever want to know anything about JoJo, just ask the rockin’ awesome Momma Sallie. She even has embarrassing baby JoJo stories.
The authors! OMG! I spent so much one on one time with various authors. It was amazing. The first day there I was disappointed to find out that we would have to leave the hotel and find the majority of our own meals. Then the most amazing thing happened. Judi Fennell and Stephanie Julian invited me to lunch. It snowballed from there. Almost every meal I ate was with authors.
  • Stephanie Julian
  • Judi Fennell
  • A.C. Mason
  • Rayna Vause
  • Tere Micheals
  • Mari Freeman
  • Samantha Kane
  • Caridad Pineiro
I also had numerous 5th floor patio breaks. We all need some sun and fresh air at times or just getting out of those crowded halls. So I get to list some patio buddies.
  • Dakota Cassidy
  • Karin Tabke/Harlow and her awesome assistant Bonnie (loved her tat!)
  • Delilah Devlin
  • Shannan Albright
  • Trisha Pickyme
There were some snafu’s. I guess that needs to be expected at any event this large. They were aggravating, but they will not keep me from going next year. New Orleans is my old stomping ground. I grew up in South Louisiana. Authors After Dark 2012 is basically a trip home as far as I’m concerned. Overall is was a great event. I meet so many awesome people. Some were new to me, some I knew from online or because I had read their books, some I had meet before. I’m so glad I went. I do not regret one minute of it!
I brought home tons of stuff. I see plenty of giveaways in my blogs future!
Also, boonie net HATES me & will not allow me to upload photos. They claim I have reached my monthly upload & download allowance for the month. You can view the pics on my theJeepDiva FaceBook Fan page. I uploaded quite a few when I was at the library (where there is normal internet) yesterday.

  1. I swear they need to run a line to your little place in the boonies! I hated that about my parents connection *blah*

Great recap! I loved all the people and authors!

  2. I've been recapping the event for all my friends too. The neighbor ladies on either side of me have already sworn they want to do NOLA next year!

  3. It was so awesome to meet you, too! I am also planning on going next year.

*whispers* I'm glad I skipped a lot of the blogger stuff - the number of books they got were overwhelming!

  4. I am so jealous! I wish I could have been there, but I'm going to DragonCon next month and I had to choose between the two. I love you guys, but I can't miss my chance to lay eyes on the sexy goodness of Joe Manganiello in person.

I WILL be in NOLA next year, though. So hopefully, I get to meet all of you great ladies in '12!
