Nakos is an Ekewoko warrior. His entire tribe of people has fled their home due to an invasion from outsiders. The Ekewoko shaman, leader and a few warriors have ventured to a distant land to see that the shaman’s vision save the Ekewoko people. After Nakos captures a “Wilding” the Ekewoko feel assured that they will return to their homeland soon. When Jola is captured by one of the warriors who have set up camp near her homeland she soon learns that they have some rather nefarious plans towards her people. Jola is a Falcon who has recently lost her mate. She knows that this wayward group of people is responsible for his death.
I liked the overall story. The characters and the world in which they inhabit are very interesting. This is a very sexual book, but I had a few issues that brought the rating down for me. The main male/hero of this book utilizes sexual punishment for interrogation purposes. The sex scenes are written very erotically I just do not enjoy reading sex with that nature of a dominance tone to it.

  2. I am not a big fan of the "sex" in a book being used for real punishment or leverage. Good review!

  3. Oh I don't care for sex as punishment. That might cause me to think twice about this one. Nice review.
