The Unwrapped by Rory Michaels

Series: Macon Valley Menage, book #5
Best read in order: no, each works as a stand alone
Stars: 4
Flames: 4

I love this erotic short novella series. They are a perfect short read when you are looking for something quick to read. I like to read a mix of books. These novellas work great just to break the monotony up. I read mostly paranormals with varying degrees of sexual heat. I think this series works perfectly to whet my pallet with something different. I know when I sit down to read any of the Macon Valley Menage books that I’m going to get an erotic filled tale of two male lovers finding their one special female.

Tony and Carver have had a sexual relationship for years. They have always been on the lookout for the one woman to bring into their lives. Vicki is that woman. The problem is that she has been seeing Tony and he’s asked her to keep their relationship a secret. He has been keeping their relationship a secret from his lover, Carver. Things come to the breaking point when Vicki is tired of feeling like Tony’s dirty little secret and Carver finally informs Vicki of his attraction to her. Now Carver and Tony need to make her see that they both want her and that she is the perfect woman to fill the void in their imperfect relationship.

Review: The Unforgettable by Rory Michaels

eBook, 26 pages
Published May 16th 2011 by Raven Books
ISBN 13: 2940012571786
Source: Purchased for self
Genre: Erotic Romance, Ménage, Western
Series: Macon Valley Ménage, book #4
Best read in order: no, each works as a stand alone
Stars: 4
Flames: 5

The Unforgettable is strictly male-female-male ménage. Lyle and Levi are twin brothers, thus it would be creepy any other way. They want Sally. They have admired Sally from afar for way too long. Lyle finally decided to ask Sally on a date. Lyle and Levi knew it was only a matter of time before one of them did.

They have decided it is time to see that the three of them get their happily ever after. Sally has longed for the twins for a while. She is ecstatic when she finds out they both want her. After the twins shut down their bar one night the trio finally explore all of their romantic options.

One of the aspects that I like most about the Macon Valley Ménage series is the fact that each book works as a stand-alone. You can pick up book #3 and not have any clue that there was a book #1. I’ve only read 2 other series that worked that way. It is nice to find others.

I would love to read a full length novel by Rory. She writes extremely hot sex scenes. She also gives her characters a strong romantic connection in such few pages.

Review: The Unspoken by Rory Michaels

eBook, 17 pages

Clay and Wyatt have wanted Harley as long as they can remember. They never acted upon their desire for her, felt she was too young for what they wanted from her. Having recently come home from the service they have decided that during their time away she has matured enough to be what they expect her to be in their lives.

Harley has very patiently waited for the day that she can be with Clay and Wyatt. She knows they have shared each other and she is hoping to finally get in their bed. Once again knowing, but not having it in print to read, Wyatt and Clay have been together and I would have loved to have read that. The sizzling hot ménage scenes in The Unspoken are strictly male-female-male, with whispers of the possibility of male-male-female.

I recommend reading the Macon Valley Ménage series weeks, possibly months apart. I read all four in one sitting. As a whole they are a bit repetitious and very similar. Separately they are extremely erotic, very enjoyable ménage reads.

Out of the four books in the Macon Valley Ménage series, The Untold is my favorite. Going into it I thought I may have some issues with Cody and Nicole being a married couple. I thought I would have home wrecking cheater thoughts. This never happened. Cody and Nicole agreed to bring a third party into their bed.

I would have loved to see more action between Cody and Everett. It is mentioned that they have a sexual history. They have not only shared women, but each other. There is some mild male-male petting, but nothing more. The sex scenes involving Nicole and the two men are extremely hot and well written.

Review: The Unexpected by Rory Michaels

Very appropriately titled novella. I did not expect to enjoy this. I’ve never read anything with a cowboy in it that I found particularly interesting. I’m currently thinking I need to head west in a dually with a trailer full of horses and see if I can’t find this Macon Valley and then a couple cowboys.

Perry and Jesse are happily engaged and just a few short weeks away from the big day. Perry has shared numerous women with Sean in the past. Perry and Sean have always wanted a woman to share, permanently. They are hoping that Jesse is the girl for them. Now they just have to introduce her into their lifestyle.

The Unexpected is male-female-male ménage. It is mentioned that Perry and Sean have enjoyed each other intimately, but they do not in this novella. That was a huge disappointment for me. The sizzling trio knowing each other from the very beginning of the novella worked wonderfully. It allowed for them to fall into to the numerous scorching sex scenes quickly.

I will definitely read more of this delicious series!
