Vampirerotique Tour: Intorducing Andreu & Varya & GIVEAWAY

Introducing Andreu and Varya, hero and heroine of Enslave

It’s wonderful to be here at The Jeep Diva for the next stop in my Vampirerotique Summer Book Tour.

Today, I’m going to be chatting about the hero and heroine of the latest release in the series, Enslave.

Andreu is the younger brother of Javier, and he steps into the theatre determined not to fall in love like his foolish brother and his sister, and to achieve his dreams of opening his own theatre in Barcelona, gaining himself money and power, and the ultimate bachelor life. He wants to surround himself with women, indulge every carnal hunger he has while still remaining single, and embrace the full benefits of running an erotic theatre. He’s extremely focused on business and isn’t interested in making friends at the theatre, but finds himself growing close to Payne, another of the new recruits. All of Andreu’s dreams and desires are challenged when a sexy succubus enters the theatre, throwing it into pandemonium.

A succubus with several centuries of life and even a fae king notched on her headboard, Varya is all about fun. She embraces everything her species adores—passion, love, debauchery and decadence—but has learned not to take things too far over the past century. Her kiss is enough to melt most men, and sex with her will kill all but the strongest. Having grown tired of killing men with her passion, she has focused on gaining sustenance through less lethal means. She’s always looking for a party, but like any good succubus, she follows the rules of her clan, that is until she decides to take a risk and teleport into Vampirerotique during one of the performances. When the glamour keeping her invisible weakens, alerting any vampire over several centuries old to her presence, Varya ends up locking eyes with a sensual vampire who heats her blood and sets body on fire, but who is forbidden and might just be the end of her—Andreu.

Andreu and Varya are such a departure from the previous heroes and heroines of the Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series. Andreu is very driven by business and determined to avoid romantic entanglements. Rather than embracing the woman who teleports into his life and turns it upside down, he ends up torn between kissing and killing her. He’s a warrior at heart and has fought many battles in the past, and he sees Varya as just that—another war to win. Of course, I couldn’t let him remain cold towards her. Her succubus charm gets his motor revving and while he tries to resist her, he finds himself falling for her little by little, and it’s not just her fae powers at work.

I adored Varya. She was the first full-blooded fae I have ever written and boy, writing her was fun. She’s sassy, powerful, and extremely determined to get a taste of Andreu. She risks everything, including the thing dearest to her, driven by her curiosity about him and why his aura is shadowed so she can’t read his emotions. Even when her better sense tells her to stay away, she can’t resist sneaking back for another taste. She’s a troublemaker and doesn’t apologise for it. If throwing the theatre into pandemonium means she’ll get to kiss Andreu again, then she’ll do just that. If she has to use her powers to catch a glimpse of Andreu naked and hard, then she’ll do that too, even if it makes him angry with her. She knows what she wants and she’ll risk all to get it. I can see her proving to be quite the troublemaker in future instalments in the series too. Andreu definitely has his hands full with her but she’s going to be a fun addition to the theatre to write. She’s already driving Antoine crazy, and has a beef with Payne, and has stirred Snow’s protective side. I can’t wait to see what trouble she can cause in the future.

If you like intense, unforgettable characters and forbidden love that will challenge convention in every possible way, then I think you’ll really enjoy their story, Enslave, and the Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series. Every book is packed with emotion, tension, drama and passion, guaranteed to satisfy even your darkest desires.

Felicity Heaton
His determination to succeed in business has left no room in his life for love. Now, a beautiful and deadly succubus has teleported into his dark, decadent world and is in danger of enslaving his heart.

Andreu’s future entails opening an erotic theatre like Vampirerotique, gaining wealth, women and power, not shackling himself to a single female, but he cannot deny the dangerously seductive woman who stirs his anger and passion, and tempts him like no other—he will have her.

The moment their eyes meet, Varya knows she cannot have the exotic dark vampire who sets her pulse racing. His shadowed aura marks him as forbidden, but the hungers he awakens in her are too intense to resist—she must have a taste.

When an erotically-charged kiss ignites their soul-searing passion and reveals something dangerous about Andreu, will Varya leave forever or will she dare to risk all in pursuit of something she thought was beyond her reach?

Review: Enslave by Felicity Heaton

eBook, 109 pages per Kindle
Expected publication: August 4th 2012 by Felicity Heaton
ISBN 13: 9781909306004
Source: Author, for the purpose of an honest review
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance
Best read in order: mostly, but can also work as a stand-alone
Stars: 5
Flames: 4

I do believe that Felicity made a great series even better with this installment of her Vampire Erotic Theatre series. I loved Andreu and Varya. This novella is so appropriately titled with how their relationship began and grew and how they affected each other. Felicity was amazing in how she squeezed so much emotion and passion into these few pages.

Varya a succubus has let her curiosity get the better of her and ventured into the Vampire Erotic Theatre. The one that drew her interest is not even aware that he has done so. She had hopes of finding a place to feed. She found that, and so much more when she sees Andreu. His dark aura tells her to stay away. Her clan has rules and he is of the forbidden, but isn’t it always the forbidden fruit that tastes the best.

Andreu has gone to the theatre to assist his brother and to also learn. He has dreams of opening his own erotic theatre someday. He knows that his time there is temporary and that he will soon return to Barcelona. The trespasser in the theater is about to shake up all of his plans. Andreu is aware that there is an unknown presence in the theatre almost immediately. He wants to know what it is and why it is there. He knows that whatever it is it should not be there.

I enjoyed that a new supernatural being was brought to this series. Varya was an easy character to love. I think anyone can relate to following their curiosity into a bit of trouble. Andreu like most males thinks he is immune to the love bug. He is under the impression that many various lovers are far better than being tied down to just one. There is an irony in just how Varya tied him down.

Varya and Andreu are hot together. There is this one scene that stands out to me. It is one hot sexual encounter. I can assure you, had Andreu known that work could be so pleasurable he would have signed on at the theatre for the long term. I love this sexy vampy series!

Review: Seduce by Felicity Heaton

eBook, 157 pages per Kindle
Published June 23rd 2012 by Dark Rose Publishing
Source: Author, for the purpose of an honest review
Genre: Paranormal Romance, vampires
Best read in order: possibly, they loosely work as stand alones
Stars: 5
Flames: 4

Seduce is the third book in an incredible series and I swear they just keep getting better. I have no clue how Felicity has managed to make me enjoy each book more than the previous, but she has.
Sera has been frequenting the theatre for months with her sire. She enjoys going immensely, but it is not to watch the acts on stage. She spends her time in the theatre watching one of its proprietors, Antoine. She is so attracted to him that she has decided to do anything to get past his icy unapproachable façade. Her sire has given her numerous warnings that no one gets close to Antoine, but it has only fueled her desires to get closer to him.

Antoine doesn’t let anyone get close to him. His has too many unhealed wounds from his past, a deep rooted fear for what the future holds for him, and a bloodlust crazed brother to deal with. The theatre is the only other thing he has made room for in his life. I knew he would have some darkness in his past, but I never imagined his life had been so tragic. This vamp deserved a happily ever after. He got quite the impressive lady too.

I absolutely loved Sera. She is one determined vamp. She wants Antoine. She sets out to seduce Antoine. She does not run when she learns all about him, she never even blinks. I like this type of character. Antoine has gotten used to the status quo of his life. He does not seem overly eager to change anything about it. Sera makes him want more than the little he has gotten used to. I found myself fist pumping and cheering for Sera and her determinedness.

For Snow fans like myself, readers learn much of the reason for why he is the way he is. I’m sure there is much more to learn about him though. It’s all very tragic and will leave you craving his story even more than you already were.

A couple of new male vamps were introduced. Callum and Javier’s brothers will be brought into the theatre’s inner workings. Readers are given just enough details about them that they are left impatiently waiting for the next book. One of the brothers seems to have some nature of secrets in his past. He also seems dark and broody. I can’t wait to read more of this very sexy vampire series!

Today myself, other bloggers, and indie authors are going to share some great indie finds with you.

I have 3 eBooks to share. Two are from two of my favorite indie authors, Eve Langlais, and Felicity Heaton and the 3rd is from a gal I stalk on the internet and I've been wanting to read one of her books for a while now, Tracy Cooper Posey. All 3 eBooks are available for US or Int.

VBT: Masquerade by FE Heaton: Guest Post and Tour Wide Giveaway

I have a Diva here today! She had dropped by to talk about her newest books in one of her many fantastic series. She also has a tour wide giveaway going on that you are not going to want to miss out on. It includes a Kindle, autographed books, swag...tons of awesome goodies.

Enter the world of the seven pure bloodlines of the Vampires Realm series

It’s fantastic to be here at The Jeep Diva for the next stop on the book tour for my new vampire romance, Masquerade. Masquerade is the tenth book in my ongoing Vampires Realm romance series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the others, as Masquerade does stand alone.

I’ve spoken briefly about the Vampires Realm series in a previous post in the tour and mentioned that I couldn’t go into detail about the series in a single post because the world is so vast. Today I would like to talk more about elements of the series, especially the vampires.

Everyone who knows my stories knows that I adore writing dark vampires, ones who will kill without apology and see humans as a food source. I enjoy exploring their darker nature, the side of their legend that a lot of authors tend to avoid in favour of a lighter kind of vampire (those who like bagged blood, abstain completely, or possibly sparkle). Like my vampires, I make no apologies for their behaviour. They fight, they love, they kill, and they do what they must to survive.

In the series, seven separate bloodlines share Europe, and sometimes cities (but never willingly). Each has a long bloody history with the others and all have been involved in wars with each other throughout the millennia. They are territorial and more often than not at least two bloodlines are at each other’s throats.

Each bloodline is distinguished by their eye colour when they reveal their true appearance. The Caelestis have emerald irises and share the city of Prague with the Aurorea, who have lapis blue eyes. The Nocens are known by their amber eyes and live in Budapest. The Vehemens have red irises and reside in the city of Oslo and the Tenebrae have obsidian eyes and choose to live in remote Romania. The final two bloodlines share the city of Saint Petersburg and are the Venia, with their ice-blue eyes, who live in the city, and the mighty Validus, with their royal purple eyes, who live in the countryside near it.

Each family shares the same ruling hierarchy. There is always a lord or lady, who leads the bloodline, followed by a Chosen Son and Chosen Daughter. These two lower ranking, but powerful, vampires are selected by the current lord or lady. The title of ruler of the bloodline can pass to another in one of two ways. If someone outside of the bloodline kills the current ruler, the title passes to the designated next in line out of the Chosen Son and Chosen Daughter. If someone inside the bloodline kills the leader, the title passes to that vampire. Rulers change often during times of war between the bloodlines and with the increasing threat from hunters in the series. Every bloodline has a contingent of guards to protect themselves, the strongest and most numerous of which are the Watchmen belonging to the Validus bloodline.

Since the bloodlines are often involved in skirmishes with each other and the modern world is filled with danger and temptation, the vampires are policed by the Law Keepers. There are seven Law Keepers, one representative for each bloodline, and they are responsible for upholding the laws, including those that forbid inter-species relationships with werewolves, keeping of humans without intent to turn them, revelation of their species to a human unless intending to kill them, and dissolution of the bloodlines through cross-family relationships. All sins carry the same punishment. Death.

That isn’t to say that the Law Keepers themselves are beyond temptation. While they are supposed to be impartial and emotionless when it comes to their duty and the observation, capture and sentencing of sinners, there is occasionally one among them who succumbs to temptation and breaks the law. If you’ve read the series, then you know who I mean!

While humans are the main food source of vampires and the majority of the population don’t know they exist, they are not without protection. There are several vampire hunter organisations in the Vampires Realm series, the largest of which is Section Seven. Section Seven devotes itself to eradicating vampires and protecting civilians, and they can be extreme and even frighteningly fanatical in their approach to taking on the bloodlines. There are also independent vampire hunters, such as Caden and also Nathaniel Rivers, who have no allegiance to a major group and use their natural talents to fight the vampires rather than resorting to dangerous methods like those in the organisations.

Most of the time, the vampire bloodlines remain apart, going about their business and rarely interacting with the other families. There are times when they come together though, and the latest book in the series is centred around such an event.

The Creator Day masquerade is normally a single night of freedom for all attending vampires. The ball celebrates the day the first vampire appeared in history, many millennia ago, and since he is the one from which all bloodlines eventually sprung forth, the guests are no longer vampires of a certain bloodline, but simply vampires, free of the rules that bind them and the politics of modern life. The attendees are nearly always vampires of rank, and each wears a mask to conceal their identity. At the ball, they are free of the laws too and allowed to interact with each other, dancing and socialising without consequence. Some use the ball as an opportunity to break the law, taking things further than dancing with the enemy.

During MASQUERADE, the latest novel in the series, it is a centenary ball, which means two nights of dancing, and all ranked vampires residing under one roof for a single day. Temptation in its purest form for the vampire hunters. Imagine being presented with a chance to take out your most important and most dangerous enemies in one go. Could you resist?

I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the vampires of the Vampires Realm series and their main enemy. If you’d like to know more about the series, follow the Masquerade Book Tour, or visit the official Vampires Realm series at http://www.vampiresrealm.com.

If you want to know if the vampire hunters give in to temptation, then Masquerade is available now in eBook.

I would also like to take this moment to mention that there is a grand giveaway running throughout the whole of the Masquerade Book Tour. The top prize is a KINDLE TOUCH plus bundle of Vampires Realm series ebooks 1-9 (doesn’t include Masquerade), and it’s open internationally. You can find all the details at the Masquerade Book Tour page: http://www.felicityheaton.co.uk/masquerade-book-tour.php

Masquerade is available now at Amazon Kindle stores, Smashwords and All Romance eBooks. It will soon be available for Nook, Apple devices, Sony Reader, and Kobo Books, but you can get it in epub from other retailers like Smashwords and my own website.

Review: Crave by Felicity Heaton

eBook, 110 pages
Published March 10th 2012 by Felicity Heaton
Source: Author, for the purpose of an honest review
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance
Series: Vampire Erotic Theatre, book #2
Stars: 5
Flames: 5

Callum has been sent on a trip to Paris to recruit some werewolf performers for Vampirerotic, the theatre that he has assisted in running for the past hundred years. He soon discovers that it is impossible to complete the task he has been given. All of his thoughts are on a single female werewolf. He doesn’t wish to recruit this she wolf for a performer though. His thoughts when it comes to her a very lascivious. He craves her in his bed and under him.

Kristina notices that she has a follower. Considering the fact that she is on the run from her pack she constantly keeps her attention sharp and on the lookout for such. To her surprise it’s a vampire, not another wolf to send her packing back to her pack. One evening in the club she is prowling her curiosity gets the better of her and she is determined to find out what this vamp is about.

Once Callum and Kristina are together all inhibitions are tossed to the side and completely forgotten. They melt the ink off of the pages! Their interactions with each other are scorching hot and plentiful. They soon discover that the there is more than just the sex between them and that is where their problems arise. Vampires and werewolves have often fought bloody wars. The mixing of the two species never happens.

I loved the love story. Callum and Kristina have many obstacles in the way of their happily ever after. He comes from an elite family that is already looked down upon by some vampires due to human blood having been mixed into his family. Kristina wants to share none of her personal history with Callum, none of it. She assumes the worst of the vampire on several instances and decides it would be best to guard her heart. I enjoyed reading how they finally found the means to make their love for each other something they could keep and work for them.

For readers like me who are beyond curious about Snow, there is very little page time for him. The little page time he does get just makes me even more curious about what has made this vamp the way he is. Teaser chapter at the end informs readers that the next book in the series, Seduce will belong to Antoine.
